Monsters

zombie

 Monsters

Monsters –they lurk everywhere

Under your bed or in your hair

All day long they try to scare

They really are your worst nightmare.

GoblinGoblins give you such a fright

Your hear them grumble through the night

They really are a gruesome sight

Their yellow teeth glint in the light.

Witches with their pointy hats

Fly on broomsticks with their cats

They bubble potions made from bats

And pelt you with the tails of rats.

Pixies with their pointy feet

Tug at the corners of your sheets

They whine and moan and whinge and bleat

They trick and steal and lie and cheat.

A ghost appears with chilling grin

He comes to spook his next of kin

He flaps the curtains, kicks the bin

And really makes a dreadful din.

A zombie crawling on the floor!

Now how did he get in the door?

His eyes are black, his skin is raw

 There surely can’t be anymore?!

But wait! What’s this With snarling face?

warewolfA werewolf comes to take its place

Its hygiene is a true disgrace

It really takes up too much space!!!

More pour into every inch

They snatch and bite and drool and pinch

You do not dare to even flinch

And..oh my gosh is that the grinch?!

They all crowd round about your bed

Clawing and scratching at your head

And your tummy fills with dread

For they’re all wanting to be fed.

But worse is yet to come, Beware!

For what’s that coming up the stairs?

With bleary eyes and fuzzy hair?

You really better take great care.

The door opens, a floorboard creaks

You see whose there and dare not speak

She’s grumpy and it’s you she seeks…

Yes, it’s your mum, NOW GO TO SLEEP!!!!
